Sparky and the Gang
Sparky and the Gang is a not-for-profit charitable group working to rescue dogs and place them in safe, loving homes. Group volunteers rescue primarily dogs but sometimes cats from local pounds, off the streets and from unsuitable homes. We also pull dogs off Los Angeles freeways and from areas in downtown Los Angeles and South Central. Our group works from different areas in Los Angeles and Orange County and most animals are kenneled, although some animals live in foster care. All group members work on a volunteer basis and most have full-time jobs separate from this organization.

If you would like to donate supplies, we are always in need of any of the following items: Science Diet/Nutro Max dog food, dog beds, old blankets, towels, paper towels, dog treats, leashes, collars, dog crates, kennels or pet corrals (especially large and extra large), dog food and water bowls, Advantage/Frontline, and dog toys/balls.
To donate supplies or make a monetary donation, please contact Sherri at 310-621-1417. Thank you for your support!
Our adoption procedure begins with the interested party visiting the dog/cat at our kennel/foster home or at one of our adoption shows. They then must fill out an adoption application and be interviewed by a Sparky and the Gang volunteer. Lastly, we conduct home checks and we require an adoption donation, which is paid directly to our group. The adoption donation goes directly back into rescuing and caring for abandoned dogs for any of the following necessities: Pound fees, shots, boarding, feeding, transporting, surgeries and other medical costs. We put our hearts and souls into these animals, and we look for people who will love them as much as we do!
We show some of our dogs on scheduled Saturdays at the Anderson Pet Store at 2218 Honolulu Avenue, Montrose, CA 91020 (near Glendale). We hope to see you there!
