IF YOU LOST YOUR PET, YOU NEED TO COME IN TO THE SHELTER TO LOOK. THE PEOPLE THAT ANSWER THE PHONES DO NOT KNOW WHAT ANIMALS WE HAVE AND THEY CANNOT GO AND LOOK. The best person to identify your pet is you.
We are only able to add pets to our website once or twice a week. If you are looking for your pet or looking to adopt, please come to the shelter to see everything that we have.
OUR CURRENT GREATEST NEEDS ARE: Dry puppy food. Liquid fabric softener and plain UNSCENTED, CLAY kitty litter. Just the cheap stuff. The scented type makes them sneeze and clumping cannot be used with young kittens. .
News
DONATIONS NEEDED: Dry dog and puppy food. Iams kitten dry food and Nutro kitten canned food. Liquid laundry detergent, liquid fabric softener and bleach. Mini-size dust pan/whisk broom sets for cleaning cat cages. (Usually can be found at Big Lots, 99 cent store, etc.) Cardboard trays/boxes as litterboxes. Almost anything will work. Cereal boxes are perfect. Boxes from cases of soda and canned foods, shoe boxes or anything that is comparable. We have a few people that bring in the cardboard trays from pet food when they shop. When our cat room is full, we may go through 50 or more boxes a day. The plastic trays from tv dinners make good canned food bowls for kittens.
Electric can opener.
Items we are always in need of are: Towels and blankets for the animals to sleep on. Petsmart, PetCo, Walmart, Target, Home Depot, etc. gift certificates; pet treats and rolls of jute twine. The only type of toy we can give the dogs in their kennels are the rubber "Kong" type toy. Cat toys are always in low supply. They are not durable when disinfected, so are given away with the cat or kitten when they leave or thrown away when soiled. We also like to keep a bucket of dog biscuits or treats in the kennels so that visitors may offer them to the dogs as they walk through. There are never enough biscuits to keep that bucket full. We greatly appreciate everyone that can donate. We could not run as efficiently without you.
