All of TigerLily Cat Rescue kitties are kept in foster homes of our volunteers where they receive personal care, attention and love. This gives us the opportunity to get to know the kitties and helps us determine the best type of home in which the kitty should be placed. It also affords us the capability of being able to work special cases where socialization or extra rehabilitation efforts are needed.
TigerLily Cat Rescue is supported solely by public donations as well as the efforts of all our volunteers to help us continue our on-going rescues and adoptions. No one at TigerLily Cat Rescue receives a salary. All monies go directly to the care of our cats.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer and/or providing foster care, or would like to make a tax-deductible donation, please contact us as we'd appreciate anything you may be able to give to help us continue our rescue and adoption efforts.
It is the goal of TigerLily Cat Rescue to one day establish a No-Kill Cat Shelter and Sanctuary in the Santa Clarita Valley. We know we have a long road in front of us, but we are determined and committed, and hope you will join us in whatever way you can to help us make this a reality.
TopWe make every effort to ensure our kitties are healthy prior to being made available for adoption. They are all tested for Feline Leukemia, Feline Aids and are up to date (age appropriate) with their vaccinations. Fecal tests are performed to check for parasites, which if found are treated.
All of our cats, including kittens, are spayed or neutered prior to being placed. This is in accordance with California State Law (1998 Bill# AB1634). This means our kittens will be available for placement after they have been spayed/neutered (no earlier than 9-12 weeks old). Also, this extra time will be beneficial for their social development as well as strengthening their immune systems.
There is a tax-deductible non-refundable adoption donation starting at $125.00 (depends on the kitty). Please note that cash is preferred, checks are accepted, but no credit cards. This donation essentially provides us with funds to continue our rescue efforts and make payments on our vet bills. Without these donations we wouldn't be able to do the work we do. These funds cover the cost of tests, shots, spay/neuter and any necessary treatments the kitties may need. If there are any additional, extensive medical treatments required, this cost is covered by the TigerLily Cat Rescue.
All prospective adopters are carefully screened as we strive for a "match made in heaven". We do not ship or transport our kitties. Our goal is to place our kitties in loving, responsible, committed and strictly indoor only homes. Since not all kitties are suitable for all potential adoptive homes, we do reserve the right to turn down or limit any potential adopters to certain kitties as we deem necessary. We will help you choose a kitty that will be compatible with your family and lifestyle. We want you to be happy with your choice and the kitty to be happy with you.
Please remember this is a lifelong commitment; however, if for some reason the match does not work out (at any point), then the kitty must be returned to TigerLily Cat Rescue so that we can place him/her in another home.

Here is a very special poem, close to our hearts. Please take the time to read this ...especially if you are considering adopting a rescued kitty...
Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed,
All nicely tucked in my warm new bed,
I'd like to open my baggage,
Lest I forget,
There is so much to carry,
So much to regret.
Hmmm...Yes, there it is, right on the top,
Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss,
And there by my perch hides Fear and Shame.
As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave,
I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain.
I loved them, the others, the ones who left me,
But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me.
Will you add to my baggage?
Will you help me unpack?
Or will you just look at my things,
And take me right back?
Do you have the time to help me unpack?
To put away my baggage, to never repack?
I pray that you do - I'm so tired you see,
But I do come with baggage,
Will you still want me?
