Who We Are

Forever Pets is a nonprofit, NO KILL animal adoption organization, staffed by volunteers. We are dedicated to finding permanent, loving and responsible homes for the animals in our care. Our goal is to stop companion animals from being killed, and to decrease animal over-population. We provide to all animals in our care, spay and neuter services, as well as needed medical treatment, and comfort care. Our source of funding comes from adoption fees, monetary and service donations and fundraising events.

Our Programs Include:

SPAY & NEUTER In Shasta County each year, over 10,000 healthy adoptable dogs and cats are destroyed. The solution to this situation is to reduce pet over-population by 10,000 animals each year. Spaying and neutering is the key to reduce unwanted puppies and kittens.

FOSTER PROGRAMS
ATTENTION: WE NEED FOSTER PARENTS FOR CATS AND DOGS! Please call 244-3005. Animal lovers take dogs and/or cats into their homes temporarily, and care for the needs of their "Foster Pets". Working hand-in-hand with FOREVER PETS, these "Pet Parents" keep animals healthy, groomed, socialized, and made available for adoption.

FOSTER PARENT SPONSORS
Animal lovers who are unable to take a pet into their own home can insure a dog's or cat's well-being by donating financial support for maintenance costs of a foster pet.

ADOPTIONS
FOREVER PETS outreach adoption programs give our dogs and cats the opportunity to be placed in homes with responsible, loving families committed to life-long ownership. WE ARE LOOKING FOR PLACES TO HOLD ADOPTIONS.....Know of any?

MEMBERSHIP $20 A YEAR
Your membership in FOREVER PETS supports our foster care and adoption programs. Additional donations directly support our spay/neuter efforts for every animal we place. 100% of every dollar donated to this fund will be spent on spaying and neutering, "preventing litters, saving lives".

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
FOREVER PETS' volunteers are needed for:

Our cat and dog adoption days will be held at Petco, on Hilltop Drive in Redding,CA, on the first , third and fourth Saturdays of every month, from 11:00 to 3:00. We hope to see you there.

Adopting a friend
Our goal is to find committed and loving homes for our animals. If you are interested in adopting one of our beautiful Cats or Dogs, please e-mail the address below with your name, address, phone number , and the name of the animal you are interested in. Please remember that Redding is located in Northern California ....just short of the Oregon Border. We will contact you and set up a time and place to meet your potential pet. Please keep in mind that by making an inquiry and or filling out an adoption application, does not guarentee that the animal will be placed in you home.

All of our animals are: Spayed/neutered, CATS -- Basic vaccines FVRCP -- Felv/Fiv tested. DOGS --Basic vaccines DHPPv + Cv, Bordetella, Rabies, Heartworm tested and current on Heartworm prevention. All are de-wormed, de-fleaed, and microchipped. Also, when adopting from us, you will get a free health exam at local participating vets plus a coupon booklet from Petco.
