Pet of the Month....

We have lots of kittens at the shelter. If you would like to adopt one of these adorable babies, please come to the shelter, we have boys and girls. When you adopt one of these adorable kittens you will receive a certificate to spay/neuter your kitten when they are old enough. Of course, if you would prefer to adopt a cat that has already gone through "kittenhood" we have lots of them to choose from. Just head on down to the shelter and check them out....

Dog Walking

If you don't have your own dog, the shelter can arrange for you to walk a dog from the shelter. This is a great opportunity for these animals to enjoy a day away from the shelter and possibly even find a great new home!

If you would like to volunteer for this event or would like more information please contact us at (250) 992-7722. Thanks and see you there!

We are in the process of re-vamping our webpage. We are looking for suggestions from you, the public, please feel free to contact us with your ideas and suggestions (via email only) at furry_paws@yahoo.ca

Who We Are

The Quesnel and District SPCA has many roles in the community. We are first and foremost an animal welfare organization and investigate complaints of animal neglect, cruelty and abuse. We have many healthy animals at the shelter looking for a second chance at life. All of our animals are given at least their first vaccinations and deworming and also go through a Behavioral Evaluation to determine their adoptability and to help us better place the animal in a permanent loving home.

Adopting a friend

Our adoption fees are as follows....

Dogs and Puppies: $130.00 - this includes spaying/neutering of the animal and, at least, its first vaccination and deworming.

Cats and Kittens: $85.00 - this includes spaying/neutering of the animal and, at least, its first vaccination and deworming.

ALL new mummies and daddies (that's you!!) receive a complimentary goody bag to enjoy with your new pet. Plus, all newly adopted cats/kittens receive free reflective cat collars so you can find them at night when they're hiding!!
