Our Pet List

Just the Cats ---------- Just the Dogs

Just the Rabbits ---------- Just the Small & Furries

Our Featured Animals...

"SMOKEY"

Smokey came to the shelter because his owner has cancer. So poor Smokey finds himself homeless. He was very upset at first and could not understand what had happened. He has come out of his shell now ,and we find him to be very sweet. He just loves to look in your eyes and even gives some hugs. He needs a quieter home with no small kids as he has never lived with kids. If you are looking for a cat to give you lots of love and you have a place in your heart for this sweet guy, he will never let you down

Our Featured Dog...

"HAILEY"

Hailey is a sweet, gentle SF German ShepherdX who came to the shelter as a stray. Hailey is a very smart dog and loves to be with people. She can be a little unsure in the beginning but comes around very quickly! She enjoys her walkies and would be best being the only pet in her home as she seems to be choosey about her doggy friends. She's playful and friendly and would do well in an active but quiet home. Hailey has heaps of love to give, why not come and meet her..she may just be your soul mate!

News

We desperately need dog walkers in the afternoons! Approximate times 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm. Please contact us at the shelter or drop in for more information.
We urgently need foster homes for animals with common, minor illnesses such as cat flu who just need a safe place to recover and for animals who are pregnant or too young to be at the shelter. During kitten season (April - September), we need foster homes for moms and babies until the babies are at least 8 weeks old.
We are always in urgent need of cat and kitten food.
You can find more detailed information, such as a link to our on-line foster form and a map for finding our shelter at the BC SPCA's Maple Ridge shelter page.

Who We Are

We are a branch of the BC SPCA serving primarily the communities of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. We have cats, dogs and rabbits for adoption and we also have small pets such as hamsters and sometimes small farm animals such as ducks. Our pets are listed here on the Petfinder site and we strive to keep this listing current. Pets turned in as strays must be held for five days to give the owner an opportunity to reclaim them. If not reclaimed, they can then be adopted.

Adopting a friend

Come and meet our pets. They are all wonderful and just waiting for the right person! There is a pre-adopt form to complete so we can ensure a good match of pet and home. There is also the standard SPCA adoption contract to complete. Please remember that a pet is a lifelong commitment. Keep their life span in mind when you adopt. See BC SPCA's Maple Ridge shelter page for current adoption prices.
