Our Featured Dog . . .Mojo !!
Mojo! This guy is really a character. When Mojo first came to us he was a very shy guy and really didn't know what to make of anyone here. He was skeptical of all the staff and quite rude to most of the other dogs. Recently he has really come out of his shell and shown us his neat personality. When he's out in the playground we'll go out with him and he’ll play and jump around. He loves leaping all over the place and pouncing like a puppy! Recently he fell in love with our pretty little girl dog "Noelle" and showed us that with the right match, he would really enjoy a home with another female dog. He is very intelligent and learns quickly, although he does have a stubborn streak in him. He is very dominant with other male dogs and should not go to a home with another male canine. He will need an owner who can be consistent with him and help him continue learning his basic commands. Mojo is a VERY smart boy and can think things out and problem solve. He learned quickly how to open the door to one of our locked playgrounds, and will need a very securely fenced yard. Mojo is an incredibly unique dog as far as his looks and personality. If you can provide love and exercise for his body and mind, Mojo is really the guy for you.
Our Featured Cat . . . Jeffrey
Jeffrey is a very cute young guy who has proved himself to be funny, social, and very friendly with everyone. He's about 4 years old, and loves to play! He is residing in our communal room and having a great time. He is quite energetic and playful, and would probably enjoy a home with a bit of action in it.
He is quite confident and could most likely fit in well with other animal playmates or kids!
FOSTER HOMES NEEDED!
We are always in need of foster homes for stressed out dogs and cats at our shelter, as well as those requiring vet care. Please contact us if you are interested in fostering a dog or cat in need.
If you can help please contact the shelter by phone at (604)940-7111
DONATIONS ALWAYS WELCOME!
We are always happy to receive donations to help support the animals in
Delta who are in our care.
We are currently in need of cat litter. We use "Yesterday's News" or "Crown Bedding", as it enables us to monitor them. Thank-you in advance from the kitties.
We also need sturdy, large breed dog collars and leashes. We swear one of our dogs must be a "Houdini" who breaks out of the kennel at night and hides all of our leashes and collars on us! Where they go we do not know, but we are definitely on low supply.
