h3>News If you don't see a pet that suits your fancy, please consider emailing us with your telephone number or call Barb at 520 326-2170. It takes us a few days to respond...we work full time and have families so please be patient. Chris will do a telephone interview and make arrangements to do a home visit. By doing this in advance, when the right dog comes along (and we get new faces every week)- you'll be prequalitifed and ready!

Who We Are

We are Southern Arizona Boxer Rescue, a non-profit rescue group devoted to rescue of abandoned, abused and owner surrender boxers in Arizona and Western New Mexico. We are members of C.A.B.R.A. and work hand in hand with the Roswell New Mexico Humane Society, Pima Animal Control, Humane Society of So. AZ., and the Arizona Humane Society. We've been in operation for over ten years and have placed thousands of dogs in terrific forever homes!

Adopting a friend

Our adoption procedure includes a telephone interview that lasts approximately half an hour, a home visit before and after placement and a contract which stipulates among other things, that if for any reason you can no longer keep your boxer, it must be returned to Southern Arizona Boxer Rescue. Our adoption fee for adult boxers is variable depending on each dog's circumstances. Puppies are usually more, but this fee rarely covers spay/neuter, shots, medical tests, microchipping and care while waiting for adoption. We try our best to place these wonderful creatures in forever homes but sometimes circumstances prevent that from happening. Our biggest concern is the welfare and the happiness of each rescued dog we place.

Come Visit Us!

Our dogs are usually in fosters, so there is no central place to visit. We will be happy to introduce you to your new love after the interviews and home visit!
