The Selma Animal Shelter / CAAS is a non-profit organization. We are supported by private donations and bequest from indviduals and business of caring people. We welcome any volunteers who wishes to help out with our loving babies!

News
We are at our new home! Our new shelter is located on the corner of Medical Center Pkwy and Bell Rd. We will need LOTS of help so if you have spare time, come see us! It is your shelter too. We are hoping to do some fund raiser to help buy better cages for our babies. If you can help in any way, please remember us!
Who We Are
The SAS / CAAS provides food, water, shelter and medical attention for more 3,000 unwanted and strays annually. Including the ones that are owners released, picked up by Animal Control Officers for the City of Selma and the Dallas County Animal Control Officer.
Adopting a friend
When adopting a pet from CAAS you must fill out a preliminary form. Once is has been approved, you may adopt. Our adoption cost is as follows:
Dogs- $55.00
Cats- $45.00
This includes a free vet check from our participating Vets, this has to be done within 7 days from adoption.
The pet has to be neutered or spayed (if it hasn't already been done) for a 1/2 price of Vets cost to you. We will transport the pet to the Vet of your choice at the time of adoption to be N/S if pet is old enough to be N/S (4 months old). You will also have a cost of Rabies shot of $10.00.

We are located on the corner of Medical Center Parkway and Bell Road, coming into Selma on Hwy 80 W , you will turn right onto Medical Center Pkwy. We are appr. 3 miles dowm on the left at the 1 st red light.Coming in on Dallas Ave. (Hwy 22E from Orrville) you will turn left at Houston Park and go straight until you see our sign, right after you pass the vidock , we are at the next red light. We are open on M-F from 10:00 to 4:00. Closed on Sat. & Sun.
